Yoga

Yoga is the unity of the mind, body, and spirit. Its ancient teachings are centered on the concept of “one-ness” and self-realization. Using certain breathing techniques and physical maneuvers, the individual is able to attain a heightened state of physical and mental clarity. The brain operates according to various wavelengths (gamma, beta, theta, alpha). Meditative techniques such as Yoga have been scientifically proven to have positive physiological side effects the same as prayer. Hypnosis has also been utilized for brainwave and psychological health. Past Yogis would pass their wisdom down in temples with no intent of monetary return. Occasionally donations and barters were made to keep the gurus sheltered and well fed. Keeping with this tradition, all of our current Yoga services are being offered on a donation basis. Personal one-on-one sessions may also be arranged if necessary.

Halotherapy

Halotherapy (dry salt therapy) is where 99.99% Pure Grade Sodium Chloride (salt) is heated and then ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the salt room, salt cave, or salt chamber during a typical session.
As an individual relaxes, the microparticles are inhaled. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli to aid respiratory concerns, while the non-inhaled salt particles are absorbed by the body to combat skin conditions.
Most people are familiar with ‘wet’ salt therapy. Whether you’ve put salt in a bath, had a saline solution treatment, used a Nettie pot to clear your nasal passages, or gargled with saltwater, wet salt has its benefits. Dry salt is different and the drier the salt the better.
Dry pharmaceutical grade salt is heated and then it is ground and crushed into very tiny microparticles. These dry aerosol microparticles of salt are then dispersed into the salt room during a typical session. As the person relaxes in the salt room, the microparticles are inhaled. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. While inside the salt room, the non-inhaled salt particles fall onto the skin.

Infrared Sauna

By harnessing the power of the sun and nature, thermal regulation therapy via infrared saunas can provide a healing experience that is convenient, comfortable, and effective. Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you. Instead, they use infrared lamps (that use electromagnetic radiation) to warm your body directly. Infrared saunas use infrared panels instead of conventional heat to easily penetrate human tissue, heating up your body before heating up the air.
With an infrared sauna, only about 20 percent of the heat goes to heat the air and the other 80 percent directly heats your body. Supporters of infrared saunas say the heat penetrates more deeply than warmed air. This allows you to experience a more intense sweat at a lower temperature. This environment is more tolerable, which allows you to stay in the sauna longer while increasing your core body temperature by two to three degrees.

Functional Medicine

The functional medicine model of care offers a patient-centered approach to chronic disease management. It seeks to answer the question, “Why?”so you can receive personalized, effective care for your needs.
Functional medicine providers spend time listening to you and gathering your medical history. We use this information to identify the root cause(s) of the illness, including triggers such as poor nutrition, spinal misalignments, stress, toxins, allergens, genetics and your microbiome .
Once we identify the triggers, we can customize a healthy living plan for you. Your plan will address many aspects of your life, from physical needs, including nutrition, exercise and sleep, to mental and emotional stressors related to social, work and community life.
The foundation of functional medicine is the use of food as a first-line therapy. The right nutrition, combined with lifestyle and behavioral interventions, will help you take charge of your health.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts such as essential oils to promote health and well-being. Essential Oils are naturally occurring, volatile aromatic compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. Essential oils give plants their distinctive smells, essential oils protect plants and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their beautiful fragrance, essential oils have long been used for food preparation, beauty treatment, and health-care practices.
Over 3,000 varieties of volatile aromatic compounds have been identified to date.. The delicate ratio of aromatic constituents found in any given essential oil is what make it unique and give it specific benefits.
Even with pure essential oils the composition of the oil can vary depending on the time of day, season, geographic location, method and duration of distillation, year grown, and the weather, making every step of the production process a critical determinant of the overall quality of the essential oil product.
Aromatherapy can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single essential oils or in complex essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit.

Conscious Conception

Pregnancy Empowerment Course
The Conscious Pregnancy course is designed to educate parents about how to care for and protect their neurologic health during pregnancy. Over the years, birth and pregnancy have taken a medical and procedural conduit. Since then, couples have been removed from the experience and separate from one of the most important moments in life. From this course, we seek to empower parents by creating a conscious perspective on the female anatomy, emotional preparation, natural induction, and a Transcendent birth.

First Steps

Post Natal Educational Course
The First Steps course is designed to teach parents about the early signs of neurological and nutritional disorders the moment after birth. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 68 children in the United States develop Autism. By taking the necessary steps before conception, during pregnancy, and onto the child’s First Steps, we hope to provide parents with an innate, conscious, and holistic outlook into the early detection and prevention of neurologic developmental disabilities. This course not only seeks to review potential risk factors of these disorders, but also to provide parents with key tools to assess their child’s neurologic health within minutes following birth. Parents engaged in the First Steps course will learn how to track developmental milestones, detect early signs of neurological distress, find products that are safe for newborns and infants, as well as optimize the function of their own neurologic health.
